Newlyweds: The First Year Couple — Why We Stopped Having Sex

Tina Sugandh, an Indian pop star, and her husband of one year, Tarz Ludwigsen, have stopped having sex. They are stars of Bravo's new series Newlyweds: The First Year, which airs Mondays at 10 p.m.

"I used to have so much lust for Tarz. And now I just look at him like this goofball dork," Tina told People. "Looks wear off. You just wake up going, 'Oh, there's my dorky husband.' America's so fixated on 'How many times are you doing it? Oh, my God, only once?' To each his own. I'm not judging."

As Tarz explained, "A lot of it had to do with the fact that I was working," Tarz explains. "I have a start-up company and I did lots of traveling. I was working 20 hours a day for months and months and months." Tina added that, for them, "sex is really just a bonus." They are best friends and "very fulfilled with our chemistry." That said, she wants to have kids "I'm not 20 and I have maybe a half of an egg left. So that was a huge struggle [that will play out on the show]."

The show follows married couples in their first year, and People asked if their sex life had improved since filming ended last year. "I'd say no," Tarz said. "It's nonexistent." But they're hopeful things will change since his company just got funded.

What do you think about this? Some people insist every marriage needs sex, but there are plenty of companionship couples out there, maybe even some within the first year, like this. But it sounds like these two aren't completely on the same page in terms of what they want. That could be a problem, but we hope they sort it out!
