The Voice 2013’s Midas Whale Create Kickstarter Campaign After Elimination

We’re still mourning the loss of folk duo Midas Whale on The Voice 2013, but as duo member Ryan Hayes told coach Adam Levine, “You’ve gotta learn to let us go.”

Ryan’s hilarious comment definitely didn’t go unnoticed, but it’s unlikely that we’ll let go of these two talented artists that easily. The duo has launched a Kickstarter campaign for their upcoming album and in less than a day have already collected almost $2,000 toward their $30,000 goal.

Ryan and his musical partner Jon Peter Lewis (of American Idol fame) have each done their own solo endeavors musically, but this will be their first album together.

After an epic blind audition, which earned them a four-chair turn, the duo went on to prosper on Team Adam, beating blues singer Patrick Dodd in the battle rounds. Sadly, they went up against talented country artist Amber Carrington in the knockout rounds and failed to move forward with their rendition of Elvis’s “Burning Love.”

But that doesn’t mean their musical journey must end! If you’re a fan of this duo, click here to contribute to their album. You have until June 5, 2013 to help fund the album.
