Nick is very critical of Fox and American Idol producers for perpetuating the feud between the two A-list female judges.
"It’s kind of unfortunate," he told the ladies of The Talk. "When you see someone like my wife, who tries to remain classy and tries to take the high road, it feels like everybody else around it — including the network and the producers — feed into this whole sound bite drama. It feels like it lacks substance."
He went on to call the situation “unfortunate.”
Nick said viewers are getting sick and tired of the on-air bickering, especially since it is played up so much.
"I think America in general is tired of seeing the mean judges and people be mean to people. They’re over it," he said, adding, "In the book of Mariah Carey, American Idol will be a footnote."
Harsh words, Nick!
He went on to say, in an interview with KTLA, that Mariah's future at Idol is uncertain.
"It’s a time when she has so many amazing things going on in her life ... no one wants to be a part of something unstable."
According to Nick, Mariah tried to let the network that working with Nicki wouldn't work out well.
"My wife foreseen all of this. She tried to tell the network, 'I dont think this is going to work.'"
