Pretty Little Liars Season 4 Spoilers: Mama Drama Roundup
Pretty Little LiarsSeason 4 is shaping up to be the season of the parents. It seems like Rosewood mothers will have a lot to do in the upcoming season. Here’s a roundup of what we know about the mama drama so far:
According to Ashley Benson (Hanna), PLL fans are going to hate Hanna’s mom this season, which seems nearly incomprehensible considering she’s been among the coolest of the Rosewood parentals for awhile now. We’re not sure what Ashley Marin (Laura Leighton) could do to make us turn against her, but it must be bad (perhaps it involves Caleb’s imminent departure?). There’s also speculation that Ashley Marin may go to jail for her involvement in a hit-and-run last season. Basically, it’s not looking good for Ashley in Season 4.
Alison and Jason’s mother hasn’t had much to do in PLL. We saw glimpses of her in Season 1 and a few actual storylines in Season 2 when she staged a memorial fashion show (because, why not?) and the secret came out that she had an affair with Peter Hastings that resulted in Jason. But, for the most part, she has always been a very minor character. Well, she’s back in Season 4, living alone, and presumably playing a part in the Liars’ search for answers.
Pam Fields (Nia Peeples) became a more important character in Season 3 with her hire at the Rosewood Police Department. We know from Nia’s tweet that we “can expect desperation” from Pam in Season 4, but we’re not sure what form that will take. Will Pam be getting a lot of screen time with new characters Gabriel Holbrook and Linda Tanner, state police officers who come to Rosewood? Will she be torn between doing her job and protecting her daughter?
Toby’s mom will be in Season 4! With Toby’s reveal as an “A” Team double agent, he has become an even more integral part of the PLL fabric. In Season 4, he even gets his own flashback, which is where we think we will meet Marion Cavanaugh (seeing as she is currently dead). We think Toby’s mother and his past in general may be tied up in the “A” mystery. Will Marion Cavanaugh help unravel the connection?
Veronica Hastings (Lesley Fera) has always been a force to be reckoned with (much like her daughter). Last season saw her finally face Spencer’s troubles in some capacity, and spill about a long-kept secret concerning Ali. The summer of her disappearance, Veronica saw Ali sneaking back into the Hastings home in the middle of the night with a bloody lip. Does Veronica have more secrets to tell? We’ll be seeing more of her in Season 4, so she’ll definitely have the chance.
What do you think the Rosewood parentals will be up to in Season 4? Are you looking forward to their storylines or would you rather stay focused on the Liars? Let us know in the comments below!
