The Voice 2013: Best Performance From the Season 4 Live Shows, May 7, 2013 (VIDEO)

Not that performances are live on The Voice 2013, we have a greater respect for each of the remaining 16 contestants who are singing their hearts out for America’s votes.

One artist who captured America’s hearts last night was Team Blake Shelton’s Danielle Bradbery. This cute teen was given an old country classic (“Maybe It Was Memphis”) to perform, giving it a fresh, youthful sound while showing off her big voice.

Danielle hit No. 5 on the iTunes charts by the time voting ended, making her the first Season 4 contestant to reach the Top 10.

Two artists that really surprised us last night were Team Shakira’s Garrett Gardner and Team Blake’s Justin Rivers. Both gents have failed to impress us until now, but their creative performances of “Imagine” and “Meet Me in the Middle” respectively reached out to audiences across America for different reasons.

The best performance of the night has to go to Team Shakira’s Sasha Allen, who closed out the evening with a growling rendition of The Beatles’ “Oh! Darling.” This soulful singer has proved time and time again that she’s capable of effortlessly crossing genres and moving a crowd. Her only risk right now is possibly peaking too early, but if that’s her biggest problem, Sasha’s in a good place.
