Game of Thrones

When Is the Game of Thrones Season 3 Finale?

Why can't Game of Thrones Season 3 last as long as the dreaded Westeros winter? Somehow, we've already flown past the halfway mark — suddenly, there are only four episodes left before the Season 3 finale (Episode 10: "Mhysa"). When does the finale air?

If you just went ahead and added 10 weeks from the premiere date, you'll need to go back and revise your calendar.

Based on HBO press released and IMDB, it looks like HBO will not be airing a new episode of Game of Thrones over memorial day weekend — that is, there's no episode on Sunday, May 26. Episode 9 will air on June 2, 2013, and therefore the Season 10 finale will be on June 9, 2013.

And here's some exciting news: the finale will probably be over an hour long. Given some of the things we, as book readers, know are going to happen near the end of this season, those extra minutes will definitely be put to good use!

Catch the next episode of Game of Thrones on Sunday, May 12 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO.
