Grey's Anatomy

Grey’s Anatomy Season 9, Episode 23: Meredith Takes a Tumble — Is the Baby Okay?

A new sneak peek has been released from tomorrow night’s new episode of Grey’s Anatomy (Season 9, Episode 23: “Readiness is All”) and since it’s the penultimate episode of the season, we’re expecting a lot of drama. And while we’ve already been warned these final two episodes are going to be a wild ride, we have no idea exactly what to expect, especially concerning Meredith and her new baby.

In THR’s exclusive sneak peek, Owen is preparing the doctors for the storm that’s coming their way — telling them to discharge all the patients they can and postpone all the surgeries that can wait, because they’re going to need the room for victims of the storm... including casualties. Sounds like this storm is going to be just as massive as the spoilers promised!

Then, Derek tells Meredith she should slow down a bit, because she’s only 3 weeks away from her due date, but Meredith reminds him, “I’m pregnant, not sick.” And maybe she should have listened to him, because on her way up the stairs, she falls and hits the bottom of the stairs hard — and no one is around to help her.

We already know Meredith will go into labor later in the episode, and that we should expect a lot of drama surrounding the birth. We’re not sure if McBaby will survive or not, and that may be a question we don’t find out the answer to until next fall.

We can’t wait to see tomorrow night’s new episode! Are you as excited as we are? Sound off in the comments!

Catch the next new episode of Grey’s Anatomy on Thursday, May 9, 2013, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
