Poll: Americans Don’t Like Justin Bieber, Want Justin Timberlake For President
Sorry, Beliebers! And congrats, Jessica Biel — you could be First Lady someday.
Public Policy Polling surveyed 571 voters nationwide on May 6 and May 7, asking them how they feel about various music stars.
For example, one question was, "Do you have a favorable or unfavorable opinion of Justin Bieber?" Only 20 percent said "Favorable"; 54 percent said "Unfavorable"; and 26 percent picked "Not Sure." That’s an average across all ages, from 18 to over 65. It sounds like this was a phone survey of a demographic that doesn't know who Skrillex is (he got 54 percent "Not Sure"). Their favorite genre of music was "Country" with "Rap" taking 50 percent as least favorite.
This group thinks very favorably of Justin Timberlake, Adele, Taylor Swift and Beyonce. In fact, when asked whom they'd like to see as President of the United States, among a group of options, Justin Timberlake took the top spot, followed by Adele, who is British and wouldn't be eligible anyway.
According to PPP, Justin Bieber was the only artist whose unfavorability rating stretched across partisan lines, with Democrats, Republicans and Independents all thinking the same negative thoughts. So ... THANK YOU, JUSTIN BIEBER! You just brought America together.
