Puddle of Mudd’s Wes Scantlin Arrested on Drug Charges
If only he could take this all away.
Puddle of Mudd frontman Wes Scantlin was arrested in Hollywood on outstanding warrants for drug charges and a traffic violation, according to E! Online.
Wes, 40, was pulled over for speeding on May 7, at which point police found the two outstanding warrants.
The drug charge stems from Wes have pleaded guilty in July 2012 to cocaine possession and given 18 months deferred judgment, during which time he was supposed to have undergone drug counseling. The charge could have been dropped from his record had he completed the program.
Wes also was in the news late last year for allegedly causing a drunken disturbance on a plane, forcing the plane to land midway through the flight. The charge was later dropped.
Despite its ridiculous name, rock band Puddle of Mudd found success in 2001 when its Come Clean album was released and eventually went triple platinum. It produced the singles "Blurry" and "She Hates Me," which we don't blame you for pretending not to remember.
Ah, the early 2000s. So many terrible bands — are we right, guys?
