Real Housewives of New York Renewed: Only Four Women Confirmed as Returning
Hooray: Real Housewives of New York has been officially renewed by Bravo for Season 6! Boo: only four women have been confirmed as returning cast members.
A nasty contract dispute was not only putting cast members’ return in jeopardy, but the whole show — so before we speculate, know that it could have been a lot worse.
Who’s in? Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, Carole Radziwill, and Heather Thompson, Bravo confirmed to TheWrap. While those four haven’t officially signed on the dotted line yet, Bravo expects that paperwork to be finalized next week. As soon as the ink is dry, production will resume.
That means that LuAnn de Lesseps and Aviva Drescher haven’t closed the deal, which means that both LuAnn and Aviva could call it quits with the show.
Before you break out the tissues, it could be that contract negotiations are ongoing with them. But their future on RHoNY is certainly more in question than their four co-stars that have Season 6 nearly on lock.
RHoNY cast member salaries for Season 5 reportedly fell within the $175,000-$500,000 range, with LuAnn and Aviva at the top end.
Do you think Aviva and LuAnn are returning? If not, will you miss them?
