Revenge Season 2 Finale: Was It Necessary to Kill Off Declan Porter?
You guys, it may be a new week, but we’re still weeping the ugliest of tears for the fallen Declan Porter. The jewelry thief’s life ended in the Season 2 finale of Revenge and we still aren’t over it.
It all started with the explosion at Grayson Global where Declan was casually hanging out waiting for his baby mama, Charlotte. Unfortunately, the bomb went off, trapping the Decster and fatally injuring him.
But before we waved goodbye to this tragic Montauk man, he stayed alive long enough to say his goodbyes to Jack, Charlotte, and Nolan. And it was quite the emotional journey.
When Declan’s heart surgery failed and his aortic artery ruptured, the youngest Hamptonite was gone for good. Naturally, this sent Jack into a tailspin that caused him to storm over to Grayson headquarters with a gun, pageboy cap, and nerd glasses ... it’s totally normal.
In order to stop him from murdering Conrad and ruining his own life, Emily stood in front of his gun and confirmed what Jack had “known all along” — that she is the real Amanda Clarke.
We’re so happy that Jack finally knows the truth, but was Declan’s death really necessary to make Jack lose it? He’d already lost his wife, labrador, and future.
