While her future at American Idol is unknown, one thing is certain: Mariah Carey will be taking the world by storm.
Since releasing her new single with Miguel, "#Beautiful," Mariah has risen to the top the charts worldwide, and a source told Us Weekly that the diva is looking to capitalize on that. Thus far, the hot single has hit number one in 25 countries and the top five in 45.
"Due to the smash success of ‘#Beautiful,’ fans are clamoring as Mariah makes plans for a world tour," the source told the magazine.
Rumors are swirling that Mariah will not return to Idol next year, and this news is all but sealing her fate. Longtime judge Randy Jackson is the only judge to break the silence, saying, last week, that he will be leaving after 12 seasons. Mariah, Nicki Minaj, and Keith Urban have yet to speak out, though rumors claims that all three have been fired.
Mariah hasn’t been on a world tour since 2004, when she was on her Charmbracelet tour, though she did make trips to Egypt, Brazil, and Singapore in 2010 during her Angels Advocate tour.
It looks like we can pretty much say goodbye to her long-winded critiques and hello to a surely fabulous world tour.
