Kelly Rowland Was Jealous of Beyonce and Angry About Her Success
Beyonce and Kelly Rowland once sang about being "ready for this jelly," but the sisters' relationship more recently involved a different meaning of the term "jelly."
In a revealing song off her upcoming album, Kelly admits to once being jealous of her little sis and feeling upset about Bey's colossal success immediately after the break-up of Destiny's Child, according to Us Weekly.
"When my sister was on stage, killing it like a motherf**ker/I was in rage, feeling it like a motherf**ker," Kelly sings on "Dirty Laundry."
"You'd never know what I was dealing with/Went our separate ways, but I was happy she was killin' it/Bittersweet, she was up, I was down/No lie, I feel good for her but what do I do now?," the song continues.
"I was going through some bulls**t/Post-'Survivor,' she on fire/Who wanna hear my bulls**t," Kelly adds in the tune.
The dark song also addresses Kelly's abusive relationship at the time, with Kelly singing that her man was "putting his hand on me," and "I was battered."
Thankfully, Kelly is now in a much better place, and the sisters are closer than ever, with Destiny's Child having reunited during Bey's Super Bowl halftime performance.
Kelly's new album drops next month, and we can't wait to check it out!
