Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice’s Communion Mix Up: Do They Belong to the Same Church?
Last weekend featured memorable events for both the Gorga and Giudice families, because each family celebrated a First Communion. For the Gorgas it was all about little Antonia’s First Communion, while the Giudices were celebrating their second daughter, Gabriella. Unfortunately for the families, both communions were held on the same day, meaning that they couldn’t celebrate together and many guests had to choose which party to attend. The Real Housewives of New Jersey stars, for example, chose to attend Antonia’s party at the Brownstone.
Initially there was some confusion over whether or not the Giudices and the Gorgas attend the same New Jersey church, but both H’wives later confirmed that are members of the same congregation.
“Despite all the crazy rumors out there. Teresa and I DO belong to the same church and our children both had communions on the same day,” Melissa began, later adding, “We wished we could have been at each others. It's just the way it worked out. & No my party wasn't filmed by bravo or had anything given.”
As you might have guessed several people accused Melissa of getting free services (like a DJ and dresses etc.) for Antonia’s bash, but Melissa is clearly denying that allegation.
Since the communions were on the same day Teresa mentioned that her parents “hustled” to both, and Melissa made sure that her Twitter followers knew that they were certainly front and center at Antonia’s gathering. “Contrary to the rumors my inlaws sat at the head table with us and my sisters and their husbands and had a great time! We were all smiles!
We’re not quite sure what all of this communion drama is about (or why it’s important), but maybe the drama will play out on RHoNJ Season 5!
