The Voice’s Amanda Brown Recalls Elimination Anxiety, Lists Live Show Favorites

The remaining contestants on The Voice 2013 have now been through two terrifying live results shows and now the talent pool has reached the Top 10. Season 3 artist Amanda Brown told Parade Magazine that she completely understood what the contestants were going through during the eliminations.

“Last night was an example of my least favorite part of The Voice,” she wrote in her Parade Magazine blog. “I hate when people go home. I don’t think I will ever get used to the idea of sending people home on national television.”

It was especially hard for Amanda because her real-life bestie Sasha Allen was the last contestant to be saved.

“These next few episodes, I’ll be chomping down on my nails (I’m not usually a nail-biter) out of sheer nervousness and recalling my own anxiety while standing on that stage, awaiting the verdict,” she said. “Not easy. I imagine I’ll have no nails left by the end of the show.”

Amanda also listed some of her live show favorites (in addition to Sasha). To see those, read her full Parade Magazine blog.
