Tamra Barney is all about celebrations these days. Not only is the The Real Housewives of Orange County star getting ready to wed longtime boyfriend Eddie Judge, she also recently threw a grand bash to fete the grand opening of her new gym, C.U.T. Fitness.
And she knows just the drink she wants to toast with. Tamra recently partnered with Cuca Fresca, an organic line of cachacas and ready-to-serve cocktails. And she’ll be hosting a series of Girl’s Night Outs tasting and bottle-signing events (she just hosted the first two in the DC-area) to help introduce the brand. Wetpaint Entertainment caught up with the sassy, blonde bride-to-be, who filled us in on all her exciting new ventures, including a rumored RHOC spin-off in the works!
Wetpaint Entertainment: Why cachacas and why this particular brand? Tamra Barney: Eddie was actually the one who introduced me to them. The first place we went together was Panama and he said to me, ‘I want you to try this drink.’ It was a caipirinha, which are made with cachachas. I loved it.
The reason I love Cuca Fresca in particular is that it’s organic, which is a great fit for my brand. I’m all about health and fitness.
Speaking of which, what’s happening with C.U.T.? It’s going great. We’ve been open for three weeks but we’re having the grand opening party this weekend. I’m very hands-on, I’m there seven days a week and Eddie teaches spin classes and body pump.
And you’re also getting ready to get married! Will we see that happen on this season of RHOC? The wedding itself is not going to be on the show. You’ll see a lot of preparation, though, like dress shopping. But we just weren’t ready to get married in the timeframe the season was shooting. We’re having a summer wedding.
The last time we talked, you mentioned having a theme wedding. Is that still the plan? We’re going over a couple of different ideas that sound fun…
Will you be getting a wedding spinoff like Bethenny Frankel and Kim Zolciak? I’m open to it, but that’s all I can tell you right now!
And finally, are you and your ex-husband, Simon, on better terms now that you’re both happy with other people? Things are much better now. We share custody of the kids 50/50 and we live within walking distance to each other. It took awhile, but we’re finally doing better.
