On May 27, Team Shakira‘s soulful singer Sasha Allen sang “Without You” by David Guetta featuring (her would be coach) Usher on The Voice 2013. Continuing with last week’s trend, Shakira chose another current hit for Sasha, who rocked her Emeli Sandé song last week.
With the pressure of being the last Team Shakira contestant, Sasha and Shakira worked tirelessly on perfecting the song featuring Usher. Using her own personal experiences as a means of inspiration, Sasha found a way to connect to the song that symbolized her place in the competition.
Coach Adam Levine once again threw himself under the bus for letting Sasha go, but complimented the singer for her amazing vocals. Blake Shelton compared himself to the singer and found that there was no comparison — Sasha is the better vocalist. He praised the singer for her ability to hit her notes and believed her performance bought Shakira another week in the competition.
Coach Usher told Sasha that her performance made him recall writing the hit pop tune with David and that he loved her take on his track, while Shakira continued to be proud of her last woman standing.
