Judith Hill Compares The Voice 2013 to The Hunger Games in Exit Interview
Soul singer Judith Hill’s elimination from The Voice 2013 sent shockwaves across America and thoroughly pissed off her coach Adam Levine, but the artist is taking it in stride. She remains proud of her final performance of will.i.am and Justin Bieber’s “#thatPOWER” and of the work she’s done on the show thus far.
“I’m proud of the performance,” Judith told Access Hollywood in her exit interview. “I was in my element and I was glad I got to bring funk to The Voice. It doesn’t happen every day.”
But the stress of the competition certainly hasn’t been lost on the 28-year-old.
“It’s like The Hunger Games,” she joked. “We’re like tributes up there. It’s a really crazy experience. I had no inclination [I would be sent home]. It’s been really stressful every week trying to think about what [voters] are going to think, but this time it was about going out there and having a fun, explosive time on stage.”
Now Judith is preparing to promote her new film, 20 Feet From Stardom, a documentary about backup singers, and will hopefully be working on some new music of her own.
