The Bachelor

Brooks Forester and Desiree Hartsock’s Date Blasted as Unoriginal

During June 3’s episode of The Bachelorette, Desiree Hartsock had her first one-on-one date of the season. What a date it was! Des tried on a wedding dress, with faux groom Brooks Forester by her side. Later, she and Brooks went to the Hollywood sign for a romantic and breathtaking view.

There’s just one problem: Both of those date ideas have been done on The Bachelorette before, and Bachelor nation definitely took notice! J.P. Rosenbaum tried on wedding outfits with (now real-life wife) Ashley Hebert during a trip to Thailand. And yes, he did notice how similar the two dates were.

“Recycle much @BacheloretteABC? Never saw wedding photos before. #beentheredonethat #thebachelorette” he tweeted.

Nick Peterson, who also appeared on Ashley’s season, said, “Ok suit with white sneakers? No. Wedding date again? No. #thebachelorette”

But that’s not all. During Ali Fedotowsky’s season, the bubbly Bachelorette had a one-on-one date with Frank Neuschaefer where the couple also hung out under the Hollywood sign.

“A Hollywood sign date? I'm pretty sure this has been done before. Just sayin ;) #bachelorette” Ali tweeted.

That said, Ali didn’t seem to mind that much. “The dumb and dumber tux that Brooks tried on was AMAZING! I love that they are goofy together :) #Bachelorette” she later tweeted.

What do you think: Was Des and Brooks sorta-been-done-before date a total bore? Or do you think these two managed to make it their own?
