The Bachelorette

Bachelorette 2013 Spoilers: Who Gets Injured in Season 9 Episode 3?

Hold on to your hearts, Bachelor Nation. Next week on The Bachelorette, one of the boys goes down and goes down hard. During a practice session with the National Dodgeball League, one of the fellas vying for Bachelorette Desiree Hartsock is rushed to the ER with a broken bone, reports ABC.

The injury happens at the bottom of what we imagine to be the sexiest dogpile in history (let’s hope they skip the uniforms and go skins vs. skins). Caught between some rock-hard abs, none other than frontrunner and first 1-on-1 date recipient Brooks Forester is the boy who gets hurt. According to Reality Steve, everyone’s favorite mop-haired hottie smashes his finger.

“We have an injury,” Reality Steve tweeted when it went down. “Brooks injured his finger. A medic and Des had to attend to him. He’s now being taken to hospital. Poss broken finger.”

Please don’t let it be his ring finger, thought Des and the legions of Brooks fans (including his entire office in Utah). Of course we’d hate if anyone on the show was scarred (physically) but we have to admit we’re sort of looking forward to the “Des had to attend to him” bit of next week’s show. We’re imagining her rushing across a field as dodgeballs whiz past, hair blowing in the wind, Chris Harrison covering his precious, precious face — all to get to her fallen honey.

Clearly these two crazy kids already have a connection. They spent their first date dressing up as bride and groom, making out on the Hollywood sign, and being all around adorable. Could her potential mate’s brush with a non-lethal but painful injury reveal Des’ true feelings and quiet certain doubters who claim they have no chemistry (cough, looking at you, Sutter)? Could it push the other boys over the edge and lead to yet another confrontation? We’ve got the answers if you really want to know. (Answer number one: You do.)
