Did Danielle Cunningham Use an Epidural During Labor?
Now that 16 and Pregnant’s Danielle Cunningham has finally given birth to her baby girl Jayleigh (two weeks ahead of schedule, mind you) all is right in the world and Danielle can bond with her newborn. But despite how rough and tough this mama was in her attempts to pop out her kiddo, (Dani made several attempts to induce labor) did Danielle have an epidural to easy all the pregnancy pain?
Looks like the anxious mom definitely got some medical help to ease the pain. Four hours shy of Jayleigh’s birth, Danielle tweeted, “Just got the epidural. Feeling much better. Dilated 6.5, gonna get some rest.”
But, can we really blame her? After all, Danielle did go to the hospital two days before giving birth and was sent back because she wasn’t dilated enough. When Dani was admitted into the hospital on June 6, she was given Pitocin — a drug used to strengthen contractions during childbirth. But seeing as Jayleigh wasn’t ready for her world debut, we can definitely see why Dani would take the epidural to get a moment of peace.
That’s all water under the bridge now. Jayleigh, who was born 6 pounds, 13 ounces, is now in her mom’s loving arms.
