The peace offering went over surprisingly well, with Tamr apologizing to a tearful Alexis. Lydia is proud of her role in helping the two women bury the hatchet, but she questions why Alexis criticized her actions in her Bravo blog.
“Since Alexis knew it went well last week when she posted her blog, I was kind of baffled by her post where she accuses me of not being more understanding about why she was dragging her feet and asking me not to push it with her and the other woman,” Lydia McLaughlin wrote. “I knew she was gun shy, but having already spoken to Tamra, I knew that once Alexis and Tamra met in person and cleared the air all would turn out well.”
Lydia also took a moment to explain what happened in Puerto Vallarte, saying she tried in vain to reach Heather Dubrow and Gretchen Rossi via telephone before taking off into the night.
“In retrospect, we should have just waited for them,” wrote Lydia. “It was lame that we didn't and you will see in next week's episode that we apologize for being thoughtless. I am in no way excusing our behavior, but I'm just trying to explain it. Once my phone broke and we had walked for a good 30-minutes, there was really no other option, but to ‘Whoop it up,’ right!!??”
Judging by next week’s episode, there will plenty more opportunities for the ladies to “whoop it up” in Mexico!
