Joshua Jackson Will Propose to Diane Kruger This Summer: Report (UPDATE)
Update: We're not sure whether Us Weekly or Gossip Cop's sources are tight with the couple like Dawson and Pacey, but one of them appears to be spreading some rumors.
Gossip Cop has slammed rumors that the couple is already engaged or that they will be in the near future: “They have no plans to get married," their source "close to Kruger" says.
Looks like we need to wait until a ring is all the way on her finger.
Earlier: Is Pacey ready to put a ring on it?
According to Us Weekly, Dawson’s Creek and Fringe alum Joshua Jackson is planning to propose this summer, with his wedding to Diane Kruger to follow shortly afterward. (Let’s hope it wasn’t meant to be a surprise!)
Joshua and Diane — whose new show The Bridge premieres July 10 on FX — have been dating since 2006. "Josh and Diane are very close to getting engaged," a friend told Us Weekly. "They decided they're ready for the next step. They're excited!"
If this engagement news is true, it marks a bit of a change of heart for Diane, who was previously married to French actor/director Guillaume Canet. In 2011, she told Glamour, "I was married very young. We were together seven years. Without sounding pessimistic, I learned that I don't believe in marriage. I believe in a commitment that you make in your heart. There's no paper that will make you stay. A guy friend of mine said, and it made a lot of sense, that people should get married at the end of the road, not the beginning.”
