UPDATE: Us Magazine is reporting that a source close to Kim Kardashian has revealed that the baby girl's name is... North West! TMZ also says the name matches with the birth certificate from Cedars-Sinai Hospital, and a source for People confirms the moniker. Kim and Kanye have yet to make an official announcement.
UPDATE: Still no official confirmation — only more word that the couple is still making up their minds — which makes us think that Kaidence Donda West is either not the name or Kim and Kanye and are milking the suspense!
UPDATE: MediaTakeOut.com reports that Kim and Kanye have named their daughter Kaidence Donda West. Despite the musical reference and nod to Kanye's mom, Donda West, we're not sold that this is indeed the name of beloved Baby Yeezus. MTO and Kanye don't exactly have the best relationship and what better way to get back at the rapper than by supposedly breaking the news on what he named his firstborn?
Also, the site reports the name's coming from a nurse at Cedars-Sinai Hospital, which seems doubtful unless said nurse wants to get fired...due to a HIPAA violation. We will update again once the baby's name is confirmed by the happy couple.
UPDATE: People reports that Kim and Kanye have not yet decided on a baby name, but they are very close to making a final decision.
Kim Kardashian gave birth to a healthy baby girl on June 15 — albeit a small one at under 5 pounds according to E! Online — but the notoriously publicity-hungry star has remained uncharacteristically tight-lipped about her new bundle of joy. We guess Kim and baby daddy Kanye West are basking in that new parent glow. While there's no official word on the name of what is sure to be one of the world's most privileged babies, we do have some insights.
First, sources close to Kim tell E! that the babies name will start with a "K." Right, we know what you're thinking — "DUH." There is also a high possibility that Special K's middle name will be "Donda," after Kanye's late mother, Donda West.
We know it's probably too late to offer a suggestion — the couple had definitely decided on a name, they just weren't sharing it with the likes of us — but we have some suggestions anyway. Here are some K names we think are right up their alley:
Kalliope: A variation on the spelling of Calliope, this name that refers both to a musical instrument and the Greek muse of poetry. This little one will almost certainly be an inspiration to her musician daddy, after all!
Kalista: Speaking of names of Greek origin, why not Kalista? It means "most beautiful one." Since the baby reportedly takes after her mommy in the looks department, that seems pretty fitting!
Khadija: Arabic in origin, this name means "early baby." Considering she dropped a full five weeks early, it certainly would be appropriate!
