UPDATE: Kim Kardashian did, in fact, have a camera film her birth. However, Radar Online reports that the footage will NOT be part of the family's reality TV show. Though cameras were rolling as Kim went hospital, Kanye West refused to let TV filming continue in the hospital. Kris Jenner filmed the actually birth, but the family will keep this footage private.
The question now: Will Kim’s delivery of hers and Kanye West’s daughter be televised?
Probably not — and that’s shocking news for such a showbiz-centric fam. Despite a highly publicized pregnancy, Kim’s been adamant about giving her daughter privacy. TMZ’s sources reported back in January that the baby will never be on Keeping Up With The Kardashians (hmm okay right). We already know Kanye’s opinion on the matter; he recently told the New York Times, “This is my baby. This isn’t America’s baby.”
We totally get that, Mr. West, but we’re not so sure Kim’s mom, Kris, does. Just days before Kim’s surprise June 15 delivery, word on the street was that Baby Kimye would be one of the first guests on Grandma’s new show. Granted, that was back when we all thought Yeezus was arriving in July right around when Kris debuts.
In her defense, Kris is being uncharacteristically tight-lipped about the arrival of her latest Krew member. The day after the baby arrived, the momager to end all momagers attended the 40th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards and barely blabbed at all! Do we see Kanye’s hand in this or does the whole Kardashian family want to keep this particular birth private? After all, both Khloe and Kourtney’s public announcements of their new niece have tended toward the short and sweet.
We’re still skeptical Baby Kimye won’t ever appear in front of the camera, but we’ll admit it’s kind of refreshing to see this particular family keep something to themselves for a change.
