The Originals: When Does The Vampire Diaries Spin-Off Start Filming?
We’ve been waiting patiently all summer — even if it hasn’t officially begun yet — for news of The Originals. The Vampire Diaries spin-off snagged some of our favorite characters, and we’re dying to know what will happen with the supernatural siblings. Luckily, we should get some intel from the set soon, because the new CW show will begin filming in July.
Leah Pipes, who plays Cami — the human who knows an awful lot about art and psychology — gave an exact countdown for when The Originals will start shooting via Twitter. Today she tweeted at her future castmates — Joseph Morgan (Klaus), Daniel Gillies(Elijah), Claire Holt (Rebekah), Phoebe Tonkin (Hayley), Daniella Pineda (Sophie), Danielle Campbell (Davina), and Charles Michael Davis (Marcel) — “ 23 more days. Then we're stuck with eachother [sic].”
July 12, a Friday, is 23 days from now. We’re guessing everyone will fly into Atlanta, get settled over the weekend, and then start work on Monday, July 15. Hopefully by then Joseph Morgan will have wrapped up his work on Dermaphoria, the new movie he’s starring in that we’ll never remember how to spell.
Yesterday, Charles Michael Davis tweeted, “I dare say that the cast of The Originals has more personality than a hospital for the mentally ill. And not in a good way.” We can’t wait to see how the insanity is multiplied when they all get together!
