Chris Brown Accused of Assaulting Woman in Nightclub: Report
Chris Brown just can't stay away from controversy, can he?
The 24-year-old singer is being accused of injuring a 24-year-old woman in an Orange County nightclub on June 22, according to TMZ.
Deanna Gines says that she was in the VIP section of Heat Ultra Lounge in Anaheim — where Chris had just performed — and that Chris shoved her to the ground just as the bar was closing.
Deanna alleges that Chris's shove was deliberate and that it caused her to fall hard on her knees.
Deanna adds that she went to the hospital and learned she has torn ligaments in her right knee which may require surgery. She is awaiting a second doctor visit later this week.
She says that she has filed a police report, and police have confirmed that a female did report an assault in the club that night and that they are investigating.
For his part, Chris's rep is denying knowledge of the assault.
"I'm unaware of the incident, as is Chris's lawyer and his entire team," says Chris's rep. "He was in a great mood after Powerhouse."
"None of this makes sense," adds the rep.
This isn't Chris's first time in the hot seat. In 2009, Chris's fight with then-girlfriend Rihanna escalated into violence, and Chris was sentenced to community labor, five years of formal probation, and domestic violence counseling.
For Chris's sake, we sometimes wish he would just spend his evenings at home with a good book and a hot mug of herbal tea, but that's probably not gonna happen.
