Edward Furlong Narrowly Avoids Jail Time for Domestic Violence, Other Charges
He was so much cuter as little John Connor!
‘90s movie star Edward Furlong, most famous for playing young kids in over their heads (like in American History X, Detroit Rock City), has just narrowly avoided jail time after violating a restraining order against his ex girlfriend. He’s disheveled and unrecognizable in court photos.
Eddie was charged with 7 different things related to the incident, including domestic violence, vandalism, and dissuading a witness by force, but a plea deal allowed him to get off with 5 years probation, 90 days in a drug treatment program, and a year of domestic violence counseling. A credit for 61 days served from the time he didn’t avoid jail means he won’t spend another day in a cell, unless he messes up again.
The Terminator 2 star has been in all kinds of legal hot water lately! He recently spent 6 months jail after a violent incident involving the same woman involved in this case, and back in 2010 he was put on three years probation for violating a restraining order taken out by his ex-wife. He refused a plea deal for that incident that involved rehab.
This story is really sad. We’re going to go hide in a dark room for a while, but do you think he got off too easy?
