Real Housewives’ Marysol Patton Says There Were Too Many Housewives
A Real Housewives star is remaining upbeat about the fact that she is no longer a full-time cast member on her show.
Real Housewives of Miami star Marysol Patton has confirmed to Radar Online that she has been downgraded to a "friend of the Housewives" for the upcoming Season 3. Bummer!
However, Marysol says we'll still see plenty of her throughout the season, which premieres on Bravo on Monday, August 12.
“I’m not in the main title shot with the photos with the girls, but I film just as much as I did when I was a regular housewife,” Marysol explans. “So I guess it will come down to the editing.”
But why did Marysol get the demotion?
"Essentially, what I got is that we were too many housewives last year," she explains. "It was very hard to get involved in the characters when there were so many characters."
"We’re still a baby franchise," Marysol adds about the Miami series. "Even though we are going into our third season, I think that was a smart decision." Way to be diplomatic, M!
So would Marysol be willing to continue on the series if the opportunity presents itself?
"I enjoy myself, and I enjoy the friendships that were made and the ladies that I’ve met," she reasons. "Today and where I am today, I could say maybe a few more years."
That said, it should be noted that "friends of the Housewives" are often given the boot following one season as a part-timer, which is what happened to Camille Grammer on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. But you never know!
Will you miss Marysol being on the show full-time, or are you glad to be seeing less of her?
