In the never-ending query of who is actually going to die on True Blood Season 6, we went from thinking it was going to be hunky vampire Eric Northman to thinking it was going to be a human, and now our attention is (sadly) back on Eric. In a recent interview with Backstage, portrayer Alexander Skarsgard gave an ominous teaser:
“There’s a war going on this season because for the first time in 1,000 years, humans are a real threat,” Alexander revealed. “Eric’s been busy fighting witches and other vampires, but never humans. You’ll find out how and why, but humans have become a danger.”
That’s not the worst of it. Later, he added that one scene, in particular, was quite emotional for the somewhat stoic actor.
“I recently had to do a very emotional scene with a blood bag,” he says, keeping the information close to the vest while revealing a small smile. “I can’t talk about it too much, but that was quite difficult.”
That was certainly enough to make our hearts skip a beat.
Considering his star is on the rise, we are certainly worried. The Swedish actor, who is son of veteran actor Stellan Skarsgard, has three critically acclaimed movies in the theater this summer: The East, Disconnect, and What Maisie Knew. In other words, we could be losing our fave vampire to the big screen.
