Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Lydia McLaughlin Says Canadian Women Have “Fewer Implants and Plastic Surgery”

Lydia McLaughlin proudly flaunts her Canadian background on Real Housewives of Orange County, so much so she took her fellow Housewives on an epic trip north of the border, which we’ll get to see in Season 8, Episode 14.

While she seems perfect at home in Orange County, Lydia recently told what she thinks are the biggest differences between Canada and Orange County.

First, she listed some pretty predictable factors like the weather and the sense of fashion. But Lydia’s biggest emphasis was on the lack of drama in Canada as opposed to what we see on Real Housewives of Orange County.

“Way less drama in Canada,” Lydia McLaughlin said. “Also, fewer implants and plastic surgery.”

It’s not to say Canadians are totally exempt from drama, Lydia explained — it just comes from a different place.

“From my own personal experience, the drama in Canada is more like ‘Oh my goodness what are we gonna feed the kids for dinner, we ran out of money,’ versus ‘Oh my goodness, when is my next botox gonna wear out?’” she said.

Who knew there was less silicon and wrinkle worrying north of the border?

What do you think of Lydia’s comments about Canada versus Orange County?
