Grey’s Anatomy’s Jason George Cast in Witches of East End on Lifetime

Grey’s Anatomy recurring stars come and go all the time, but it doesn’t make it any less upsetting when one of our favorites leaves.

Though we should have seen it coming (or at least been used to it by now), Jason George — aka Bailey’s hot husband, Ben Warren — is headed away from Grey Sloan Memorial again this fall, moving to new Lifetime show Witches of East End.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jason will play Adam, the “charming and charismatic” love interest for former American Dreams star Rachel Boson’s Ingrid. He is an “everyman who is the local detective in the typically sleepy town of East Haven,” and apparently he and Ingrid have had lifelong crushes on one another. Unfortunately, it isn’t easy for them — their “relationship is further complicated when he arrests her mother for murder.” Eek.

Considering the drama he’s currently stirring up on ABC summer show Mistresses and how crazy this role sounds, maybe coming back to Grey’s Anatomy for a few episodes will feel like a breather. That’s a first!

While the premiere date hasn’t been set for Witches of East End, Lifetime ordered 10 episodes, so there is definitely a chance for him to juggle helping Bailey on Grey’s and romancing Ingrid on Witches.

Are you excited for Jason’s new role, or do you wish Ben would just stick around in Seattle instead? Sound off below!
