Danielle Bradbery’s “The Heart of Dixie” Tops iTunes Country Chart!
By Rachel McRady
It’s no secret that Danielle Bradbery is doing things right following her Voice Season 4 win in mid-June. The country crooner released her debut single, “The Heart of Dixie,” on July 16 and it immediately shot to the No. 1 spot on the iTunes country chart.
Coincidentally, Dani knocked out cutie Hunter Hayes and his song “I Want Crazy” from the top spot. Those who remember the June finale know that Danielle performed the hit with the singer on national TV. She also bumped coach Blake Shelton down to No. 3 on the charts, but he doesn’t mind one bit.
“I just downloaded @DBradbery "Heart Of Dixie" on iTunes... It's so freaking good I can't even... it's just... I need a drink!!!” he tweeted.
Danielle’s also making a splash on the main iTunes charts where she currently holds the No. 3 spot right below Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” and Miley Cyrus’s “We Can’t Stop.”
The Texas teen’s numbers are identical to Season 3 winner Cassadee Pope’s after she released her single, “Wasting All These Tears,” in early June.
But the question remains — will Danielle have the staying power necessary for The Voice to truly compete with shows like American Idol? Tell us what you think below!
