Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Alex McCord: Vicki Gunvalson Lawsuit Dropped Once Vodka Tasting Aired

Is it more than a coincidence that Vicki Gunvalson was dropped from her Vicki's Vodka lawsuit just before footage of the vodka tasting aired on Real Housewives of Orange County? One Real Housewives star thinks so.

Former Real Housewives of New York star Alex McCord says in her Celebified video blog that Vicki who was being sued by Vicki's Vodka partner Robert Williamson III for fraud and breach of contract until he recently dismissed her from the $250,000 lawsuit benefitted from the Vicki's Vodka tasting in Napa airing on this week's episode. Brooks Ayers is still being sued.

"Vicki apparently was supposed to guarantee coverage of the vodka on the show, and I thought, 'What are you, an idiot? You can't guarantee that!,'" Alex says. "The editors pick and choose what they want to show and they will never guarantee product placement unless they've placed it themselves."

"However, isn't it interesting that the suit against Vicki has been dropped," Alex continues. "I'm guessing that as soon as Vicki got her screener DVD, she sent it to the lawyers and said, 'Look, here's your coverage!' This episode was her get-out-of-lawsuit-free card."

That said, Alex acknowledges that the two things may be unrelated, but she has a feeling that the episode helped Vicki out. "Now, whether it was a coincidence or whether, once she got sued, she called up Bravo and said, 'Please, help me out here. Put that scene in the show,' we don't know what really happened," Alex says. "But in any case, I'm glad she's not getting sued."

We're glad, too — and we can't wait to soon throw back a Bloody Piggy or four!
