If the world is looking a little bit less fashionable today, thank NBC.
The network has canceled its star-studded clothing competition, Fashion Star, after two seasons on air, The Wrap reports.
The show, which boasted A-list talent, including Jessica Simpson, Nicole Richie, and designer John Varvatos as mentors, had tried everything to make their show work, but to no avail.
After the show's first season, supermodel host Elle Macpherson was replaced by British TV personality Louise Roe, while H&M, the original retailer who sold the designs showcased on the program, was traded in for Express.
Despite these changes, and a move from the show's original Tuesday night airtime to a Friday night timeslot, the show only managed to draw in an average of 2.76 million viewers per episode.
While the news may come as a shock to fans and future competitors, at least the show's stars still have their other careers — as legitimate fashion stars — to fall back on.
