Grey’s Anatomy Season 10 Spoilers: Jo Still Battered and Bruised in Premiere (PHOTO)

When Patrick Dempsey said that the super storm was still happening in the Grey’s Anatomy Season 10 premiere, we were unsure how long that would last. Given that the ABC drama is wrapping its first episode (presumably both parts of the two-hour episode) today, the photo Camilla Luddington (Jo Wilson) posted of her black eye is pretty telling.

As a reminder, when we last left Jo, she was recovering from her boyfriend beating her, and in turn, starting to move on with longtime will-they-won’t-they crush Alex Karev. They kissed in a closet in the Season 9 finale — and were spotted kissing on-set this week, too — and it seems like she’s headed for happier days. However, she’s not fully healed yet.

Camilla posted a photo of her eye yesterday, captioning it, “What happens next...?” She later added, “Sat in Bank of America on my break with huge sunglasses hiding my 'black eye' probably looks beyond suspicious.”

It definitely looks a little better than when we last saw Jo, but that will continue to be a reminder of what happened to her so recently. Hopefully these two episodes will show her moving on to brighter and better times, focusing on work (and maybe a little on Alex), and ultimately showing how strong and resilient she is. Plus, if the super storm is still wreaking havoc, she will have a lot to distract her — including a team of firefighters!

Grey's Anatomy returns with a two-hour season premiere on Thursday, September 26 at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
