The Bachelorette

Bachelorette 2013 Poll: Should Desiree Hartsock Pick Anyone at All?

Desiree Hartsock can espouse the merits of choosing one of her remaining two guys all she wants. We still don’t and won’t believe she wants to be with anyone but Brooks Forester. But since the point of The Bachelorette is for the lead to end up with one of the guys, and Brooks apparently didn’t get the memo that he was supposed to be that guy, we’re kind of at a standstill here.

There are two pretty swell guys left, and had Des not told Brooks that she doesn’t give a flying f-word about either of them, only him, we’d believe that Plan B isn’t just something for sorority girls.

Yes, Chris Siegfried loves to write her poetry, but we’re pretty sure she shouldn’t take that too personally. A reliable source tells us his baseball card featured a haiku about his handedness and height (that’s a lie). [Taller than you are / Bats and throws with his heart on / Baseball is like love ]

And then there’s Drew Kenney, who is so attractive, it’s actually hard to look at him full on in the face. Which is probably why producers made it look like his date on the Season 9 Overnight Dates episode was, like, 7.5 minutes long, right? No? Oh, it’s because nobody cares about Drew. Yes, his “eyes, abs, face, body...” are all Tony-the-Tiger grrrrrrreat. But he and Des don’t have passion, and it’s not great to watch him kiss her, whether in an alley or a Jeep or a hotel bed. So, let’s just pretend that he’s out of the question already.

But here’s the question (or, rather, battery of questions): If Brooks comes back, should she pick him? If Brooks doesn’t come back, should she pick one of the other guys? Is this season just over? Tell.

I don't want to watch anymore

I feel for you, Des!
