On Thursday, August 1, Lea announced on Twitter that she was back on set. “First day of glee today..And at my first wardrobe fitting for Rachel Berry for Season Five! I've missed her so much❤” she tweeted around lunchtime.
Lea has only posted on Twitter three times in the 20 days since Cory died, but each tweet has been positive and upbeat. “Thank you all for helping me through this time with your enormous love & support. Cory will forever be in my heart,” she wrote this Monday, ending over two weeks of silence on the social media site.
Just yesterday, Lea followed up with another tweet. “Spending the day surrounded by great friends.. Hope you all are having a good day.. Sending lots of love to you all..”
There is no doubt that Lea is experiencing an overwhelming amount of pain right now, and we are continually impressed by her strength and positive outlook during such a tragedy. Going back to work on Glee — the place where she and Cory met, became friends, and fell in love — must be beyond painful for Lea. The depth of her courage and strength is truly remarkable.
