Does Simon Cowell Have Any Kids?

Since news broke about Simon Cowell's brand new bundle of joy on the way, a lot of you have been asking if this is the first time Simon has garfunkled a woman. In fact, if you had asked just a few weeks ago if The X Factor creator and judge Simon Cowell was a father, we would have chuckled at that uncanny combination of words.

A self-confessed workaholic, Simon, 53, has been kid-free until now. He split with fiancee Mezhgan Hussainy in early 2012 after three years together, and has been linked to pop singers, former Baywatch babe Carmen Electra, and pretty much anyone else who smiles his way. And ex-girlfriend Sinitta says that Simon was a pretty fun guy to have around her two adopted kids kids, for whom Simon takes on godfather duties. “[Simon]’s so much fun,” Sinitta gushed to the UK’s Mirror in November 2010. “They call him Silly Simon and climb all over him.”

But while there aren't currently any snarky-bibbed mini-Cowells running amok (can you imagine the bill for all those Baby Gap V-neck tees?), he has expressed his desire for kids in the past.

“I do really, really like kids, because I can talk to them and listen to them," Simon explained to AOL Music in March 2012. "The problem has always been how much time you need to devote to bringing up kids and I've always dedicated all my life to work, and at 52, I've probably missed the opportunity.” Whoops! Looks like he spoke too soon!

On July 31, 2013, it was announced that Simon was expecting a baby with Lauren Silverman. And while this news was just delighful in so many ways, it turns out that may not be the case for one person: Lauren's husband, Andrew, who was still married to Simon's baby mama at the time. Two weeks before the public announcement, NYC real estate mogul Andrew filed for divorce, citing adultery as the reason, and naming Simon in the suit.
