Though Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice have reconciled as of late, Melissa isn’t exactly trusting when it comes to her sister-in-law. In two sneak peek videos for this week’s episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, we see Melissa dealing with cheating rumors following the news that she’s releasing a new book on her marriage.
Earlier this season we watched as Teresa and Kim D. had dinner with Melissa’s former friend Jan, who told them that Mrs. Joe Gorga was meeting up with her ex for some, erm, extracurricular activities.
In the first sneak peek, Melissa sits down to talk with Teresa about the suspicious rumors.
“I’m excited about having the book, but I just think it’s really odd that I’m coming out with this book all about my marriage and then all of the sudden all of these rumors come out,” she said to Tre. “It just seems so contrived and so calculated.”
Hmm, calculated? Sounds like the work of someone we might know...
Later, in an aside to the Bravo cameras, Melissa admits that she’s not sure her sister-in-law is entirely innocent.
“I don’t want to accuse anybody of anything,” she said. “I don’t know if Teresa and her army have anything to do with this or not, or if it just looks like she might, but I don’t trust people I’ve been burned by.”
Then in another sneak peek, Jan approaches Melissa, Teresa, and Kim D. at the Milania Hair Care event and confronts Melissa about “nasty things” she’s been saying about her former friend.
“I heard you had dinner with my sister-in-law and Kim, and you told them that I’m a horrible friend and that I meet my ex,” Melissa said to Jan.
“Well, you do meet your ex,” Jan retorts.
Melissa gives Jan a sassy glare, but the clip cuts out before we get a chance to watch Melissa’s response.
We’ve never had any reason to believe that Melissa would cheat on Joe, but we’d also hope that Tre would never be involved in spreading rumors about her sister-in-law after they both worked so hard to reunite.
Do you think Tre was involved in these rumors? Tell us below!
