Pretty Little Liars

Pretty Little Liars Spoiler: “It’s a Mess” With Ezria in Season 4, Episode 17?

We’ve been teased that Aria (Lucy Hale) and Ezra’s (Ian Harding) worlds are on a collision course, but what exactly does that mean? Pretty Little Liars writer Maya Goldsmith gives us a sneak peek at the Season 4, Episode 17 script that may just give us some answers...

Maya’s sneak peek is literally a picture of a script page from the episode. The scene takes place between Ezra and Aria, and it looks like it is happening at Ezra’s apartment (based on the mention of a couch). In the script, Ezra tells Aria: “It’s a mess. I don’t think I should pull you into this.”

Aria’s response: “I’m not leaving, Ezra. may as well talk to me.” Swoon. The scene ends with Aria sitting on the couch next to Ezra, which implies the two are going to have a nice, long chat. Makes sense for an episode that is said to include “so much Ezra.”

This is good news for Team Ezria! We know that we/Aria are going to “find out things about Ezra that you never knew about.” Is this when Ezra’s secret is revealed? Does it have something to do with Maggie and Malcolm, or is it “A”-related? We know that Ezra will also be “let into this secret world of Aria and what she’s been dealing with with ‘A.’” Could that evolution in their relationship (and Ezra’s character) happen in this episode?

Whatever’s going down between Ezria in this scene, it seems like they are confiding each other again in a way they haven’t been thus far in Season 4. We suspect Jake may be out of the picture by Episode 17, and that Ezria will have grown closer again. This glimpse seems to allude to a still-fractured, but on-the-mend trust between Ezra and Aria.

What clues can you glean from the script page? Share your theories about how and why this scene might take place in the comments below!
