Will Blaine Propose to Kurt in Glee’s Season 5 Premiere? — The Evidence
We’re not going to lie. When it looked like Blaine (Darren Criss) would propose to his ex-boyfriendKurt (Chris Colfer) at the end of Glee last season, we were not on board with the idea. Yes, we love Klaine. Yes, we think these two are perfect for each other. But Blaine is still in high school, and Kurt is only one year out. Honestly, that just feels like way too soon to get married.
Then Glee star Cory Monteith (Finn) died. We already know that the show plans to have his character die in what is sure to be an extremely emotional Cory Monteith Tribute in Season 5, Episode 3. With all that sadness and emotion, we’d give anything for something good to happen. Something happy. Why can’t people just be happy?
So when we first heard rumors that Blaine would be popping the question as soon as Glee's September 26 Season 5 premiere, our hearts literally skipped a beat. Yes, yes. A billion times yes. This Kurt and Blaine engagement needs to happen.
Here’s what we know: A Glee fan named Amelia has posted photos on Tumblr from a visit to the Glee set on August 12.Amelia has photos of Kurt, his dad Burt (Mike O’Malley), Blaine, and Tina walking around set in costume.
She reports that Blaine can be heard singing The Beatles’ “All You Need Is Love,” as Kurt and Burt walk together outside of what appears to be Dalton Academy. Kurt then rounds a corner and sees Blaine. It’s unclear what happens next.
Nothing is confirmed, but we think it’s highly likely that Blaine could be singing this classic Beatles love song as his way to propose to Kurt. We know that Blaine is reuniting with Sebastian and the Warblers, and MJs Big Blog reports that the song will feature not only Blaine, but the Warbler, the New Directions, Vocal Adrenaline, and the deaf choir from back in Season 2.
If this is a marriage proposal, it sounds like one heck of romantic moment. But are you excited about the idea of Kurt and Blaine tying the knot, or do you still think they should wait a bit? If they get engaged in Glee’s Season 5 premiere, Finn’s death will come just two episodes later. Could that inspire Kurt and Blaine to stop waiting and rush to tie the knot?
We know that a shocking death can help put things in perspective... but it can also sometimes lead people to make irrational decisions they might not quite be ready for.
