Real Housewives’ Lisa Vanderpump Being Sued Over Bar Dispute — Report

Sometimes we think it’d be useful to have a legal degree when trying to keep up with all the lawsuits in Real Housewives land. Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump is reportedly named in a suit, along with husband Ken Todd, which is attempting to halt the opening of their newest venue, according to RadarOnline.

Court documents filed claim Lisa and Todd purposefully interfered with an existing contract concerning the location of the forthcoming P.U.M.P. Lounge. The lawsuit claims LuLu Restaurant Group owners Ryan Carrillo and Andrew Gruver planned to open a sports bar called Bar Varsity at the site of businessman Elie Samaha’s former coffee house, Java Detour.

Though Samaha agreed to invest $500,000 in 2009, he failed to do so, stalling the planned demolition and renovation. The suit alleges that because of this, “other potential investors declined to invest in Bar Varsity.”

The plaintiffs first noticed in February 2013 that Java Detour had a new name posted: P.U.M.P. Lounge. “Plaintiff Carrillo received a phone call from Carol Braidy, stating that the Java Detour Location had been leased to Defendants Lisa Vanderpump and Ken Todd… and indicating that the Vanderpump Defendants were not partners with Samaha,” according to the filing.

The two would-be sports bar owners are seeking damages from the Real Housewives stars and a motion to stop “demolishing, remodeling the Java Detour Location as P.U.M.P Lounge, or opening and operating the Java Detour Location as P.U.M.P. Lounge or any other entity other than Bar Varsity.”

We wonder if Lisa will have yet another spin-off to deal with all this mess! We’d call it Pump Problems.
