We can’t imagine why anyone would want to pick a fight with Lady Gaga, considering she’s like a beacon of shininess in the sky. Oh, and she has 40 million Twitter followers who would probably be more than happy to bedazzle a bunch of X-actos, should a knife fight break out in the middle of a choreographed dance flashmob. But Perez Hilton did, according to The Lady’s new tweet.
“Still have the text Perez sent me of me in a wheelchair w the words KARMA written across + Madonna pointing a gun at me. Day of my accident,” the popstar wrote on August 16.
Apparently, back in February, when Gaga hurt her hip and had to have surgery and cancel her multi-bazillion dollar tour, blogger Perez decided it would be a super great idea to send Gaga a pretty mean-sounding picture. The man does love a good white-pen scrawled Photoshop joke, but it seems like this one didn’t go over well.
Later, when her Monsters decided to tweet at Perez en masse, Gaga called them off with another. “Please monsters do not be affected by someone like this NOTHING merits this kind of hatred. Im ok & I always survive. Ignore him. Just Dance.”
This latest feud seed seems to be caused by Perez giving her new song “Applause,” um, not a lot of applause. “Woah! @LadyGaGa's Applause has dropped to #4 on @iTunesMusic in America. That country singer, Luke Bryan, is beating her,” he tweeted of her new single.
Gaga and Perez used to be pretty good friends, and we’re sure there’s more to the story, but here’s the pro tip of the day: Maybe don’t piss off people who have 34 million more Twitter followers than you do if your main job is to write about celebrities on the Internet. Good talk.
