Japril fans, we have good news. Or bad news. We can't tell which.
When Grey's Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes talked to TVLine about Season 10 of the hit medical drama, she offered a few precious words about the state of affairs for Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams) and April Kepner (Sarah Drew).
Or should we say, the state of the affair. Jackson and April, if you'll recall, were both in relationships by the end of Season 9, when she declared her love (and lust) for him on that fateful stormy night in Seattle.
And we have a feeling that the other two corners of this love square — Matthew Taylor (Justin Bruening) and Stephanie Edwards (Jerrika Hinton) — won't be pleased to hear about April's confession.
When the show returns later this month, April and Jackson face "interesting repercussions,” Shonda reveals.
"They've definitely got some challenging times ahead," hypes the veteran TV producer. "She's engaged to [Matt], and he's with [Stephanie]. And it's not as if they're behaving in the most mature manner about this."
Is she saying that April asking Jackson for a reason not to get married isn't mature? Yeah, we'd have to concur. The prognosis for that engagement is grim.
