Revenge’s Gabriel Mann Praises Former Co-Star Charlie Hunnam For Fifty Shades
Since the announcement earlier this month that Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam had won the role of Christian Grey opposite Dakota Johnson’s Anastasia Steele in the upcoming film adaptation of the erotic novel, Fifty Shades of Grey, there has been plenty of naysayers doubting the newly cast leads.
However, at least one Hollywood star has come out in support of Charlie: Revenge’s Gabriel Mann (Nolan Ross). Charlie and Gabriel appeared together in 2002’s Abandon, and Gabe has high hopes for his former co-star.
“Charlie is the nicest and best guy in the world," Gabriel told E! News. "I think he is just perfect for the role. If I can't play it, then I am really psyched Charlie is doing it!”
Aware of the recent casting backlash, Gabriel still maintained that Charlie is a great choice for the coveted part. “I understand that people have their favorites, I get that, but I would say this is the movie people don't even know that they want what they are about to get,” he continued.
We love that Gabriel is supporting his former co-star. Now if only we can fast-forward to September 29 for the Revenge Season 3 premiere!
