Jimmy Kimmel’s Twerking Fail Prank: Did You Fall For It? (POLL)

WTH, Internet? You’re supposed to be a source of news, cute cat videos, and hilarious mishaps that make us chuckle. That’s why we felt so betrayed when we discovered the viral video of Twerking Girl on Fire was a prank from Jimmy Kimmel.

Much like the way Caitlin Heller, a.k.a. stuntwoman Daphne Avalon, fell onto a table full of candles, we fell for the staged video. As did 9 million others. On his show on Monday, Jimmy revealed he and his team had filmed Daphne twerking, crashing, and burning. A “director’s cut” of the incident shows Jimmy spraying the woman and her yoga pants with a fire extinguisher.

"Thank you for helping us deceive the world and hopefully put an end to twerking forever," Kimmel told the stuntwoman.

Say what you will, Jimmy, but we’re suspicious of everything now. Is this guy truly stunned to see how pretty his wife is after waking up from surgery? Is that new $100 bill just counterfit? Can we ever trust The Onion again?

CNN, MSNBC, The View, and Today all showed the video before it was revealed to be fake. Did you believe it was real, or were you skeptical all along?

I feel so betrayed.

Eh, whatever.
