Orange Is the New Black Season 2 Promises “More Interactions Amongst More of the Women” — Exclusive!
Here at Wetpaint Entertainment, we're as obsessed with Netflix's Orange Is the New Black as the rest of the world. Humor, diversity, lovable characters — what's not to adore? So, of course, we were excited to catch up with some of our favorite cast members at the Caravan Stylist Studios #BeRadiant party on Saturday, September 8 in New York City.
While the cast members are sworn to secrecy about Season 2, which is currently filming, they wereable to share their excitement about what the writers have in store — and about being back on set.

"It's like a big blessing," Jackie Cruz (Flaca) gushed when asked about taking part in Season 2, a sentiment that was shared by all of her co-stars. As Samira Wiley (Poussey Washington) explained, "[The cast] formed such a great bond during the first season, so to see each other on a regular basis again is such a treat."
Selenis Leyva (Gloria Mendoz) also had nothing but good things to say about her castmates. "Just when you think you've seen your fellow actors outdo themselves in Season 1, you see them doing something else in Season 2," she gushed. "I'm just overwhelmed with the amount of talent, both the writing and the acting."
As for what the second season is actually like? "Amazing," according to Dascha Polanco (Dayanara Diaz), who also teased that we can expect to see the characters "venture out more," adding, "I think we're going to get more interactions amongst more of the women in prison."
Alysia Reiner (Natalie Figueroa) stayed mum on any plot points, but she did dish that the Season 2 premiere made her go "No way!" on the first read. "It's awesome. As one of my castmates said recently, every time we get a new script, it's like Christmas, and that's exactly how we all feel."
Samira summed up the general feeling best when she declared, "I think that Season 2 is going to be better than Season 1. That's a bold statement, but I stand by it!"
Orange Is the New Black Season 2 is expected to premiere in 2014.
