Grant Gustin to Star in CW’s The Flash Pilot — Glee Cast Reacts!

In case you missed the news, Glee’s most villainous Warbler Grant Gustin (Sebastian) has booked a new role... as a superhero! How’s that for a plot twist?

On September 13, we learned that Grant will play speedy superhero The Flash (aka Barry Allen) in three upcoming episodes of CW’s superhero drama Arrow. What’s more, The CW has already decided to create a potential new series that revolves around Grant’s character, and Arrow Season 2, Episode 20 will serve as a backdoor pilot for the potential new series.

Remember the one time Kurt (Chris Colfer) mocked Sebastian for having perfect, sort-of-pretentious “CW hair”? Now Grant is a bona fide CW star. We’re going to be seeing a lot more of him and his CW hair — very soon!

Not surprisingly, plenty of Grant’s Glee co-stars and crew members have taken to Twitter to congratulate him on this huge casting news. Fellow Warbler Curt Mega (Nick) tweeted:

Kevin McHale (Artie), who is close friends with Grant in real life, wrote:

Grant’s girlfriend, Hannah Douglass, who plays one of the McKinley High School cheerleaders (when she’s not too busy touring or performing as a backup dancer for Beyonce, that is) tweeted:

What’s more, Arrow star Stephen Amell (Oliver Queen) personally wished his new co-star luck.

Here are the rest of the Glee cast and crew tweets, along with Grant’s thank you message at the end. Congrats to Grant on landing such an amazing role! (Now let’s just hope that bright red Flash suit doesn’t end up smelling like Craigslist...)
