Gwyneth Paltrow Says Son Moses Wants to Be the Next Jay-Z
It pays to have family friends in high places. Gwyneth Paltrow and her troupe of two--son Moses, 7, and daughter Apple, 9--are surrounded by A-list influences thanks to their parents’ high profile jobs. Gwyneth admits that little Moses has already named his hero and hopes to one day be a rapper like Jay-Z.
Recently crowned People’s “World’s Most Beautiful Woman,” the 40-year-old actress and lifestyle guru and her husband Chris Martin are famously close friends with Jay-Z and Beyonce, and it seems that having an “uncle” like Hova around has inspired a love of hip hop in little Moses. Even his mom admits that he’s not half bad!
Gwyneth shared her son’s admiration of his musical idol with E!, saying, "My son would like to be more like Uncle Jay. He asked me the other day how he could look more like Uncle Jay. I said I would have to think about it."
While nobody will be watching Moses’s throne quite yet, his proud mama says he performed a “brilliant” spontaneous rap for his second-grade teacher’s birthday celebration recently, and according to the teacher, the “amazing little hip-hop guy” really rocked the house.
You would think that Moses might be influenced by the mellow pop of his Coldplay frontman dad, but Gwyneth said daughter Apple is most likely to follow in those footsteps. She says, "My daughter is more like indie, she'll be kind of more indie rock. She wants to have a band."
